Aggressive Metastatic Translocation Renal Carcinoma in a 23 year old Man

Nabeel Sarwani, David S Hartman

Abstract

Translocation renal cell carcinomas are a rare and aggressive variant of renal cancers, that typically have associated genetic mutations. The few described cases have occurred following chemotherapy in childhood. We present a case of a translocation renal cell carcinoma in a young male adult, who received chemotherapy for a childhood malignancy, and presented with a bizarre distribution of disease, which was not typical for renal cell carcinomas, but can be seen in aggressive translocation renal cancers.
